Most important is switching to a new software like FTA 1.0 or the mostly similar Dream V5.1 for the best use of the box.

Für die Hifi-Freaks ist der aktivierte 48 kHz (manchmal auch 44,1 kHz) Ausgang am CRYSTAL-Chip schon die Umstellung wert. Rechts im Bild sieht man den einfachen Anschluß eines Toslink Senders. Die +5V und GND greift man zweckmäßigerweise an dem SMD-Kondensator gleich neben dem Chip ab. In den neueren Boxen ist der CS4922, in älteren der CS4920 eingebaut. Der TOTX 176 hat eine Kunststofflasche mit Bohrung, so daß man ihn direkt am Gehäuse festschrauben kann, der TOTX 173 ist die Printversion. Das Modem habe ich sowieso entfernt und die so gewonnene Öffnung eignet sich hervorragend für den neuen Ausgang. The +5V and GND are available at the SMD capacitor right beside the chip. In newer boxes you find the CS4922, in older ones the CS4920. The TOTX 176 has a plastic hole for panel mounting, the TOTX 173 is the print version. I already removed the modem, so the new output fits best into that hole.
